Archer Park Station and its exhibitis are open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday to Friday, except for public holidays. School and coach tours are most welcome.

Ride the Purrey Steam Tram

The restored Purrey Steam Tram generally operates every Sunday (except December and January) from 10 am to 1 pm, and on special occasions.

Family Fun Days

Several times each year Archer Park hosts a number of community organisations and special activities with a 'gold coin' admission. These Family Fun Days (previously know as Carriage Shade Capers) are normally the last Sunday of alternate months beginning with April.

Special activities typically include displays of military artefacts, blacksmithing, military gaming and railway modelling, woodworking, and rail heritage displays (QldRailHeritage.com, QR, CaneSIG, etc.).

Hire the Tram for Your Special Occasion

Archer Park Station and Steam Tram may be hired for a variety of functions, including weddings, photo shoots, receptions, meetings and promotional activities.

School Break Programs

Archer Park's interactive school break programs attract several hundred young people each year: museum program, karaoke, snacks and short tram rides: Mondays during school breaks, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Friends of Archer Park Meetings

General meetings of the Society are normally held at 3:30 pm the last Wednesday of every month.
